Alexander Gardner - Associate |
Alexander Gardner is an associate of the firm's Litigation Department. Mr. Gardner brings to Mintz & Gold a wealth of trial and litigation experence. He served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Queens County District Attorney's Office for six years, serving as lead chair in over twenty felony jury trials. Mr. Gardner also served as a supervisor in the Appeals Bureau where he briefed and argued over 30 appeals before the Supreme Court, Appellate Division and three appeals before the New York State Court of Appeals. Mr. Gardner also prosecuted appeals from two habeas corpus petitions before the United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit.
After leaving the District Attorney's office, Mr. Gardner worked for ten years at the law firm of Tofel & Partners, LLP where he concentrated on commercial litigation in matters involving breach of contract, wrongful termination, discrimination, Will contests and adversarial Bankruptcy proceedings in both the state and federal court. Mr Gardner also formed and organized all types of business entities and negotiated and drafted the documents and agreements associated with those businesses. Mr. Gardner received his B.A. from Union College in 1988 and his J.D. degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1992. Mr. Gardner is currently a member of the New York City Bar Association's Committee on the Commercial Division. Mr. Gardner is admitted in New York State as well as the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
